No matter what the season, I can’t seem to find the perfect product to help keep my lips hydrated and healthy. If your one of the lucky ones, you may only have to deal with this issue during the cold winter months. Unfortunately for me, I suffer from these problems regardless of the weather. It seems as if I’m on a constant quest for the answer to my dry, cracked lips.

I’ve tried everything; lip exfoliants, lip masks, ridiculously expensive lip moisturizer-but nothing can keep my lips hydrated long enough to maintain a smooth, plump pout.

Day after day I lather on different products in the hopes that something will stick, but next thing I know the chapstick is gone, and it’s right back to licking my lips in a desperate attempt for them to have even the slightest bit of moisture.

I’ve even tried to up my water intake which has done wonders for my skin but still nothing for my extremely dry lips. At this point, what’s a gal to do? Even coconut oil won’t fix the problem, and we all know that that means that I have a serious issue on my hands.

To be completely honest, I’ve come to the point where I’ll try just about anything. Not only is it annoying and irritating, but it’s also embarrassing- I’m incredibly self-conscious about my unsightly chapped lips. There is absolutely nothing attractive about flaking lips covered in layers of intense moisturizer

At this point, I’m willing to try anything.

I have heard that the one thing that’s helped extreme cases of dry, chapped lips is lip filler. LIP FILLER! Of course, we’ll jump on board with any reason to get our lips plumped, but this has real benefits.

When you think about it, it’s probably smarter to moisturize from the inside out rather than the outside in.  There are apparently mixed reviews weighing in from Dermatologists depending on the severity of the case and condition of each patient.

Not everyone is the ideal candidate for lip fillers. What I found to be even more interesting is the fact that chronic dry lips can be caused by an unknown allergy, who would have thought?

So how does it work?

Lip injections can help improve dry, cracked lips by using a hyaluronic acid filler, like Juvederm, that can help attract and retain a significant amount of moisture in the skin. The hyaluronic acid filler helps them stay hydrated and improve active inflammation.

Before you go running for your appointment, you need first to improve the state of your lips. Finding a reputable dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience in lip fillers is extremely important.

Scheduling a consultation will help you not only get the answers to your questions but will also help determine if lip fillers will be the best option for you. And besides, who wouldn’t want the added fullness and plumpness to their pout?
